Knoxville Urban Renaissance Builders is a construction company located in Knoxville, TN. The company is founded by John Chandler, Jr. He has over 20 years of experience in construction. He has achieved competencies in design concept and building to remodeling and renovating homes and small commercial properties. His understanding of framing, roofing, siding, electrical and plumbing gives him a complete perspective of the construction project he is undertaking. He is considered highly skilled in all aspects of construction and has garnered a positive reputation in the local construction community for good ethical practices and quality work. He is also a Certified Instructor with the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER).
John operates the company with his oldest daughter, Kiana. Kiana took an interest in construction at a very young age working with her father on projects. She was exceptionally creative and developed an interest seeing her ideas come to life. This led to get her BA in Interior Design from Middle Tennessee State University. She has a keen eye for style, and it shows in her designs and concepts. Her experience enables her to help our customers to fine tune their ideas so that we can give them their vision down to the finest detail. She is also a licensed Real Estate Agent that is adept at house flipping.
As residents of the Greater Knoxville Area, we feel it’s our responsibility to give back to the communities we call home. We know there is no quick fix to lasting change; it takes people from all walks of life working together to attain the ideals that we all desire. KURB is committed to doing our part to build better lives. We don’t just build quality construction projects; our desire is to build quality people and enhance their quality of life. One of the ways we do this is by partnering with various ministries around our city to identify motivated individuals that have a desire to learn a trade and place them in our training program. Now that we are realizing the greater potential and purpose, we have decided to rebrand and expand John’s existing construction company so that we can providing more opportunities for young men to learn a trade.
